With a name like Camp No Rules, why would kids want to write?
It’s almost time for Camp No Rules, a summertime tradition in my house. Kind of like when your kids visit Grandma, my kids go to their Aunt Siobhan’s house for one week every Summer. The Rules are: NO RULES! (OK…don’t freak out, she does require certain standards for Health and Safety).
Ice cream for breakfast? Oh yeah!
Stay up late? Yes sir ee!
Can I have a treat? Sure thing.
I don’t want to brush my hair today. No worries.
With the rules stripped down to the bare minimum, you would think it might be anarchy! Not at Aunt Siobhan’s house. No way, no how. She naturally guides the kids into wholesome and educational pursuits, and they don’t even know it. You would think the idea of a writing assignment would send the kids running for the hills, but not at “Camp No Rules”. They love writing there! This year’s “Camp Application” came in the mail the other day along with a self addressed stamped envelope.
Inside the kids found their “application” for this year’s “Camp No Rules”!
